FasTest Integrates Connection Verification™ into FasMate Series Connectors for Internal Threads
Minneapolis, MN— March 26, 2019—FasTest, Inc. has integrated the latest generation of its Connection VerificationTMtechnology into the FasMate Series quick connectors used for sealing threaded ports. FasTest’s Connection Verification technology utilizes sensors to signal when a successful connection has been made. By verifying the connections prior to starting a leak or functional test, operators are able to eliminate waste caused by false failures, ensure safety during high pressure tests, and prevent costly fluid spills. Connection Verification allows customers to choose between three different signal output options – NPN, PNP and Analog – for seamless integration.
This webinar covers common issues with leak test rigging and sealing devices, an overview of the Connection Verification™ solution to many of those problems, the benefits of using the analog output configuration of Connection Verification™, and a demonstration of an FI1CV03ANA connector integrated into a PLC.
The demo showed how users can identify common issues including low pilot pressure, short-connect or placement problems and worn main seals. The PLC was setup to create automatic notifications to engineers and log multiple device criteria in a data log – which promotes learning and characterizing our devices over time.
GasMateTM Connectors Designed with Non-Sparking Materials for Safe Run Testing
Minneapolis, MN—January 7, 2019—FasTest, Inc. introduces the new GasMate product series designed to simplify “hot run” testing of gas fired appliances.
FasTest’s GasMate™ Series quick connection tools allow appliance manufacturers to rapidly and securely supply natural gas, propane or other fuel to the burner system in order to perform a run test. Two connector versions are offered; the GZNV lever-actuated model for connecting to common gas valves with an internal pipe thread, and the G60V sleeve-actuated model for connecting to extension pipes with external pipe threads. Both styles are ergonomically designed, and also feature an internal shut-off valve that seals the flow path when the connector is in the disconnected position.
