New FasTest Connector for Testing of Gas-Fired Appliances

GasMateTM Connectors Designed with Non-Sparking Materials for Safe Run Testing

Minneapolis, MN—January 7, 2019—FasTest, Inc. introduces the new GasMate product series designed to simplify “hot run” testing of gas fired appliances.

FasTest’s GZNV

FasTest’s GasMate™ Series quick connection tools allow appliance manufacturers to rapidly and securely supply natural gas, propane or other fuel to the burner system in order to perform a run test. Two connector versions are offered; the GZNV lever-actuated model for connecting to common gas valves with an internal pipe thread, and the G60V sleeve-actuated model for connecting to extension pipes with external pipe threads.  Both styles are ergonomically designed, and also feature an internal shut-off valve that seals the flow path when the connector is in the disconnected position.

FasTest Adds to Refrigeration Quick Disconnect (RQD) Product Line

RQD Series now Available for “Keyed” PCU Models 64 & 78 Tips

Minneapolis, MN— May 7, 2018—FasTest, Inc. has extended their Refrigeration Quick Disconnect (RQD) product series to include connections to the silver color PCU Model 64 and Model 78 quick coupling tips (a.k.a. “inserts”, “nipples”” or “plugs”) which have a different, non-interchangeable profile than the more common black color PCU Model 61 & 66 tips.  This provides an effective mechanical “keying” system that prevents accidental misconnection of fluid lines containing incompatible media that should not be mixed.

FasTest Introduces Valved Appliances Quick Connector

FasTest, Inc., the industry leader in standard and customized quick connectors, has partnered with a leading global manufacturer of home appliances to engineer a custom valved quick connector. This FasTest connector will be used during functional tests of gas-fired appliances to reduce test time and increase throughput throughout the manufacturing processes.

Customer Need

A long-standing customer came to FasTest with a desire to improve the efficiency of their manual functional testing process. The customer required a single action to simultaneously seal the port and open a valve to a live gas line. Prior to FasTest, the appliance manufacturer was using outdated Tuthill connectors that had poor main seal life and were difficult to repair and service in the field.
